Handwriting Without Tears
Dear Parents,
Greetings from the Handwriting without Tears Committee! We need volunteers to help get this program up and running. I believe that this is going to be an exciting and productive year for this program!
A handwriting “class” is about 40 minutes (set up and class time), once a week. We have 7 weekly classes that need to be covered. A lot of the times can be bunched together so if you are able to do 2 classes in an hour – that would be great! Classes will begin as soon as we can get the volunteers set up and will run through the end of the school year.
I will send you a plan weekly to help you organize your time and your supplies will be replenished. All you have to do is come in and help the kids “play” with handwriting!
Each class or “team” get together will consist of:
- Gross Motor Warm Up Activities
- Fine Motor Warm Up Activities
- Letter Introduction
- GuidedPractice
- Independent Practice
- Writing for a Purpose
Currently we need volunteers (weekly) during any of the following times:
Monday – Friday (any day – all times)
8:45 – 9:15
1:00 – 1:30
1:30 – 2:00
2:15 – 2:45
Please let me know what times are best for you to volunteer. Below, I have listed all the ways I can be reached. I can’t wait to hear from you.
